Week 29: Juxtaposition

While cruising on the three rivers between Budapest and Amsterdam, I was amused to see river barges that were clearly self-contained. They were not only their livelihoods, but their homes. The captains brought along their families, cars, boats, and yes, even playgrounds, as you see on top of this riverboat. It was funny to pass by a long barge and see a tricycle and other toys outside the wheelhouse. This particular vessel was moored at Würzburg, Germany.
