Week 51: High Key

I was photographing the fairy chimneys in Cappadocia, Turkey, when I turned to leave and noticed that Nature was presenting a high-key vignette. Clouds obliterated the sun, creating a white sky, which erased the horizon line against the chalky volcanic rock and formations. The group of tourists gave the image the subject matter it needed and I grabbed the shot.

  1. … and a great shot it turned out to be! Sometimes a photo presents itself in unusual ways and you sure took the opportunity to beautifully capture this one.

  2. They look like miniature dolls. There’s an artist on display at a gallery on Palm Ave, Sarasota who uses miniature items placed on body parts to make something very similar to the way your photo looks!
